MIDTERM PROJECT! :D "Best Picture Ever"

Phew!
Gotta love Midterms :-}

*Las Vegas' Ambassador to Space
Taken from a hill on the outskirts of Henderson/Las Vegas, NV, this photo captures the beacon atop the Luxor Hotel. This light, effectively dividing the photo into well-balanced symmetry, can be detected from orbit around the earth. It uses the Rule of Thirds, and the gleaming lights of the city are complementary in color to the deep, deep blue of the atmosphere.

*Candle-Lover's Dream
I thought this turned out really cool. The background patter is my family room rug, and the arrangement of the candles is generally symmetrical BOTH vertically and horizontally, while the four outer groups of candles also follow the Rule of Thirds, all combining to make a well-balanced photo. The candles are arranged into groups based on analogous and complementary colors. The iron-wrought table frame provides interesting, feminine leading lines to the groups of candles. Lastly, the exposure is just right to show the vivid colors of the candles, while not illuminating the background to a distracting level.

*Entranced at the Piano
Taken at my piano. Lots of preparation involved.
This picture demonstrates framing, background, leading lines, color, and Rule of 3rds.
